Prior to the youth exchange itself, there was a feasibility visit on 5 and 6th May 2007. Indeed, as opposed to other partners, these organisations do not usually work with impaired young people: this is a first experience for them and a prior contact can help overcome quite a few barriers and fears.
St-Lambert Square, the group is climbing the stairs walking away from the
archeoforum (interactive visit of the remnants of the cathedral foundation),
with the commercial centre at the background, from front to back: Anca and
Bulat, Cornelia, Frank, Luba and Magda.
The walls of the archeoforum feature a relief describing the gradual transformations in the cathedral, up to its total destruction in the 18th century. Dalia and Gulnara guide their touching in order for Maxim and Volodymir to be able to create a mental picture of the dimensions and evolution of the building, meanwhile Loredana is recounting the historical background.
Smoke issuing from their brains, our crack team of experts is tackling the challenging concept of European citizenship: from left to right: Sylvie, Caroline, Mariya, Bogdan, Volodymir, Maxim, Frank, Cornelia, Melanie, Luba, Dalia and Ozgur.
Lucky enough to get a private concert in his room, the girls stay hypnotised by the voice of the Turkish crooner: Juliane, Ozgur, Elvira and Cornelia.

The group is posing, almost everyone, sitting in the backyard after the Turkish sport and quizz activities, enjoying the rays of sun: Melanie, Cornelia, Juliane, Gulnara, Volodymir, Anca, Maxim, Bulat, Bogdan, Frank, Elvira, Ozgur, Omer, Mariya and Ugne.
Our favourite part of each country's presentation: the food! Here is a sample of the Turkish delicacies, sweet temptations of lukums and pistacchio pies, not even Saint-Anthony of Egypt could have resisted!
The camp wouldn't have been complete without a visit to the capital, Brussels, so your favourite guide put on her most comfy moonboots (despite the warming sun) and tread the path of fame! Esmeralda took her group to the royal palace and suggested a nice little photo in front of the fences, so Omer, Bogdan, Frank, Melanie, Cornelia, Luba, Dalia and Ugne obeyed;)
