When I applied for the EVS project, I did not really know what to expect. The only thing I was sure about was that this opportunity will give me a lot of new experience. And of course I was right!
New country, new people, new customs, new culture ... All this makes me confused sometimes, but the great time and new friends remind me very soon that despite being a foreigner in a country, I can enjoy just as anyone else! I especially like working in the association called Orchid Rose. There I help teaching french to Turkish women. This gives me a lot of inspiration and also shows me that being a teacher is not such a horrifying thing as I have previously thought. But maybe that is just because my students are so good! We create little discussion groups, we write, read, learn about each other's cultures ... The work there is very relaxing and the atmosphere is extremely light.
Another part of my work is working at the coordination of the part of the city where I live. Although work there is a little bit more serious, kind people make me forget about that. There I write articles in the bimonthly newspaper and participate in the several meetings of the coordination and other little associations.
I only have one more month to go and there are so many things I have not done. But all I have and all I have experienced will be of a priceless value in the future.
